Magic House, May 2009

My magic house has two windows. They have rectangles. It has a triangle roof. The front of the house is white. There is a little bush in the corner. I took my brush and I painted vertical lines. They were straight.

I see the sky. When I was painting, I put purple and blue in it and mixed it to look dark like night time. The sun is yellowish greenish and it’s about to go down. I feel like someone is about to knock on the door and have a party where they drink water and tea and coffee.

What I’m proud of is that first I drew it and then I thought it was looking good. Then I started to paint it. I used a purplish color for the inside of the roof and I think I put a little black. I’m also proud of how it looks like a spooky house where someone like an alien is about to go in it. When the sun comes out, the aliens open up the windows and when they see the sun they die because it hurts their eyes.
